Trip to Sacramento to see family and fireworks 💥
Key Deer on Big Pine Key, Florida. These full grown Key deer are about the size of a large dog. Hurricane Irma hit the Florida Keys pretty hard last week, the only place you can find these little deer. I used to live on Big Pine Key and work with Fish & Wildlife down there. Let's hope both the people and animals can recover soon from this devastating storm. . . . . . #irma #hurricaneirma #bigpinekey #keydeer #keydeerrefuge #fourdeer #endangeredspecies #usfishandwildlife #floridakeys @hashtagflorida @usfws @floridayskeywest @floridakeysoutfitters @deer_north_coffee_co
[Timelapse 🎧] Orchard Sunset. In the middle of the valley this is a scene I've watched play out dozens of times on my way home from work. This time I was ready with my camera. View From The Big Trees. Being only six feet tall, I have to search for a rocky cliff to get this expansive view of the valley. However, the giant Sequoias behind me stand over 200 ft tall - and 20+ ft in diameter. I guess those giants can enjoy the view from inside the forest itself. . . . . . #weexploretheworld #sequoianationalpark #captionstory #tellyourstory #storyteller #giantsequoia #visalia #nationalgeographic #natgeotravel #yourshotphotographer #canon_photos #dailybestpic #nationalparklife #liveauthentic #photopills #photopilleroftheday #impressivephotography #ig_shotz #master_shotz #superhubs #exclusive_shots #hubs_united #igworldglobal #schooloftravel @schooloftravel #wildernessculture @ig_humanplus #ig_humanplus #iamtb @travelbloggerES #folkgrammer #thenationalparkspass #abc7eyewitness @sequoiashuttle
Kicking Up Dust. Horse-packing is still possible in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. It feels as though you've gone back in time when you're riding a horse with a mule train trailing, summiting tall mountains on treacherously narrow paths. And all of this in the same state that houses Hollywood and Silicon Valley. . . Sunset in the Foothills. . The view of California's Great Central Valley from the towering mountains of Sequoia never fails to move me. No matter how soon I may want to get home and showered there's always time to stop and enjoy the view. . . Venice Beach Street Performers

May 17, 2014 · by zachgreenfilms

Venice Beach, CA.

These street performers know how to work a crowd. You don’t get a prime location on the Venice Beach Boardwalk without a little practice.

They built up to the final trick as though it was “just about to happen!” but then cleverly stalled as they first cashed in on their work while they still had the attention of the crowd. It was a test of both our wallets and our patience.

After rounding up what must have been several hundred dollars, the six volunteer kids crouched down and the audience waited with bated breath.

Fish Lake Valley, CA

May 16, 2014 · by zachgreenfilms

Do you ever just get the urge to explore?

This photo is from somewhere in California that you’ve probably never heard of. That’s the great thing about traveling; there’s no limit to the amount of adventures and new discoveries that you can find.

Just north of Death Valley, east of the Sierra Nevada Mtns, lies Fish Lake Valley. It sees very little traffic, yet this enormous valley is so impressive that I’ll never forget it. It’s split by both the Nevada-California border, and one lonely two lane road. A tiny town, and some solitary farmhouses make up the entire population, and I doubt that the people who live there would ever trade their quiet lives of seclusion for a “normal” life in the busy world.

Dust storms swept the valley on this stormy day as we drove through. Despite being a still photograph the energy of the wind is still apparent in this stormy landscape shot.
